Due to COVID restrictions, Owensboro Rotary is unable to hold our annual Bourbon Ball. The event has been the club's major fundraiser, raising approximately $20,000 last year. That money is returned to the community in a variety of ways. The breakdown includes $10,000 for the Rotary Youth Fund Grant to both local public school systems, $10,000 in support of other community nonprofit organizations, and $3,500 to support the Honor Flight program which takes older veterans to see the monuments in Washington, D.C. While the club plans to conduct several smaller fundraisers this coming year, it is not anticipated these will raise the funds needed to support our various causes.
Anyone wishing to support the club's service to the community can send a check payable to the Owensboro Rotary Club Foundation Inc. to the following address:

The annual Rotary Bourbon Ball is the Owensboro Rotary Club's largest fundraising event. Taking place in February, the event includes a Bourbon tasting, silent auction, music and dancing. Proceeds from the Bourbon Ball come back to our community in so many ways and help Rotary touch the world. In addition to funding our community service grants, a portion of the proceeds each year is designated to support other organizations in their efforts to make a difference. Organizations benefiting from the Bourbon Ball in the past include the American Red Cross, Empowerment Academy and Honor Flight Bluegrass Chapter.
